M-F 4am to 2:30pm during the summer/ 4am- 11:30am Winter
Summary: Supervises and oversees the activities of workers engaged in maintaining and repairing machines and systems throughout the facility by performing the following duties.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Coordinates Operations to develop and implement new or improved product and processes.
- Establishes the project requirements for external equipment and facility contractors.
- Defines the operating parameters of the Preventive Maintenance program.
- Maintains an inventory of critical equipment parts to assure operational efficiency and profitability.
- Acts as the purchasing function for equipment and facility maintenance.
- Acts as the point person for computer and Information Technology systems.
- Establishes or adjusts work procedures to meet production schedules.
- Suggests changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase efficiency of work crew.
- Analyzes and resolves work problems, or assists workers in solving work problems.
- Initiates or suggests plans to motivate workers to achieve work goals.
- Supervision of maintenance personnel.
- Maintains time and production records.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years as a Maintenance Manager in a food environment
- Experience with meat is a plus (not a necessity)
- hydraulics , roll stock , burger machines , conveyors, belts, spray tunnels is a plus.
- Experience with
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED); 5+ years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Must be able to interface well with all employees of the Company and to represent the Company in a highly professional manner. Must have high level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations. Must be multi-task oriented.
